Announcement: Rural Haiti Project Art Exhibition and Opening Reception

On Monday, October 5, the Communty Engagement Board (C-Board) will host the opening of an art exhibition to promote the Rural Haiti Project, a nonprofit organization created by Pratt Alumni James-Herv Sabin (Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design, 2001).

The Rural Haiti Project emphasizes the use of art for social change through a series of empowering workshops in the rural villages of Haiti. The organization's work is a holistic approach to leadership, creativity, and collaboration across communal, regional, and national boundaries.

The exhibit will feature the art of Haitian children who have participated in the organization's projects.

The opening reception for the exhibit will be on Monday, October 5th from 7:30-9:30pm in the Student Union on the Brooklyn campus. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit will be available for viewing on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 from 12-2pm and 6-8pm in the Student Union.
