Announcement: Tonight: Urban Assembly of Arts & Letters Students to Present Work in Exhibition Designed by Pratt Students
This exhibition celebrates the work of middle school students from the
Urban Assembly of Arts & Letters, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. For
10 weeks, the sixth- though eighth-grade pupils worked with members of
Professor Jon Otis's Graduate Exhibition Design Intensive (EDI) team to
learn the fundamentals of the design process, then created 12 chair
designs, which will be on display tonight along with a video describing
the student's process from inspiration to final product.
EDI team, which includes students Kayne Rourke, Kylie Skinner, Nadia
Shafiq, Nina Ibrahim, and Whitney Parris-Lamb, designed the exhibition
that showcases the students' work.
The exhibition will be shown from 6-8 PM in the Design Center Gallery,
located on the Second Floor of Pratt Studios on Pratt's Brooklyn campus.
The remarks and video presentation will begin at 6:30 PM.
All Pratt students, staff, and faculty members are welcome. Food and
drink will be served.
