Announcement: CCPS Gallery Presents - The Transience of Things - through May 31

"The Transience of Things" features photographs by former CCPS
student Sarah Girner (www.sarahgirner.com) taken at estate sales, which
the artist says "mark the final moment in the life of the suburban home."
A death, a divorce, or a move usually precedes the sales, notes Girner,
adding that the rooms in her photographs "exist in a suspended state of
reality, a convergence of past and future rooted firmly in the present."

The exhibition is the result of a six-month project Girner has undertaken
as a student in the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program
at the International Center of Photography.

A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, May 8, 7-9 PM. The
reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.

Pratt Institute's CCPS Gallery is located at 144 W 14th Street, 2nd Floor
on the Pratt Manhattan Campus.
