Viewing the Presidential Inauguration on Pratt's Campuses on
Tuesday, January 20

The inauguration of Barack Obama as President on Tuesday, January 20,
2009 will be a momentous occasion in our nation's history, one that all
Americans, indeed all the world, will earnestly wish to witness. In
recognition of the magnitude of this event, Pratt has arranged for
collective viewings of Inaugural events, which will be telecast live in
the following locations on Pratt's campuses between 10 AM to 3 PM.

--Memorial Hall, Brooklyn
--Student Union, Brooklyn
--Continuing and Professional Studies Gallery, Pratt Manhattan, Second
Floor

In addition, Pratt's North Hall Cafeteria in Brooklyn will broadcast
Inaugural coverage on MTVu from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Highlights of the Inauguration will include:
-11:30 AM: Call to Order and Welcoming Remarks; Joe Biden Sworn Into Office
-12 PM: Barack Obama takes the oath of office followed by his Inaugural
Address
-1 PM: Inaugural Luncheon
-2:30 PM: Parade

I encourage all members of the Pratt community to take advantage of the
opportunity to view these historic events with colleagues and friends and
ask that managers be flexible in accommodating employees' desire to
attend the gatherings.

This is a rare opportunity for us to mark an exceptional and hopeful
moment in our country's history.

Sincerely,
Thomas F. Schutte
President
