Announcement: Grand Walk Construction Project
with exciting renovations to Pratt Institute's campus. In keeping with
Pratt Institute's focus on sustainability, the addition of benches, trees,
and permeable pavers for increased water retention, will further support
the "greening" of Pratt's campus.
Construction will occur in two phases:
Phase I: DeKalb Avenue to Main Security Booth.
Construction: October 8, 2008 thru January 2009.
Phase II: Main Security Booth, North Hall Entrance to Willoughby
Avenue.
Construction: December 19, 2008 thru January 2009.
The Willoughby entrance to North Hall and the Main Gate will be
closed December 19, 2008 to January 4, 2009. Pedestrian traffic to North
Hall can be accessed thru Ryerson entrance and vehicle traffic to the
campus will be thru the Steuban Gate. Additional intermittent closures will
take place thru January.
All work is subject to weather conditions. The goal is to complete
as much work as possible during the semester break.
The Grand Walk Improvements project is made possible through the generous
support of Hiroko Nakamoto, a loyal and dedicated friend who studied
interior design at Pratt.
