Announcement: Pratt to Celebrate International Education Week November 18 through 20
annual International Education Fair on Tuesday, November 18, from 12 to 2
PM in the Pie Shop in the lower level of Main Building. The event will
kick off International Education Week at Pratt, part of a national
initiative to encourage international learning begun under President
William Clinton's administration.
Visitors to the fair will enjoy live jazz, as well as international
finger food. Participants also will learn about Pratt's study abroad and
student exchange programs, the student travel agency STA Travel, Career
Services, on-campus Global Learning Communities, the International
Service Learning program, and One to World's learning programs. Study
abroad and exchange students will be on hand to talk about their
experiences in these programs.
The Office of International Affairs will hold a special information
session on applying for exchange programs on Wednesday, November 19 from
5 to 7 PM in the Multimedia Room (MMA) on the lower level of the Pratt
Library on the Brooklyn campus.
There will be a special event this year: a WORLD DANCE PARTY. The DJ will
spin world music dance tunes ranging from tribal beats and trance to
salsa and dance hall to reggae and reggaeton. The party will be in Pantas
Lounge from 8-10 PM on Thursday, November 20. There will be a belly
dancing lesson during the first half-hour of the event! Refreshments will
be served.
These events are free and open to members of the Pratt community.
