Announcement: Professors Alisa Zamir and EnSun Lee to Present Projects from Taiwanese Summer Design Competition

Pratt faculty members Alisa Zamir and EnSun Lee, both of
Graduate Communications and Packaging Design, will share their
experiences as guest speakers and judges at this summer's Scholarship
Design Competition at the National Yunlin University of Science and
Technology's Digital Media Design Center in Taiwan during a reception and
presentation at Pratt Manhattan on October 10. The event will take place
at 6 PM on the seventh floor of the Pratt Manhattan Campus, located at
144 W. 14th Street.

Each year, the government of Taiwan selects their best design students
for the purpose of choosing, by competition, those who will receive full
scholarships to pursue graduate study in visual communications at schools
in the United States, Britain, and Germany.

During the competition, design professors lecture on topics in their
fields of expertise and assign projects, critique student works, and
score the results. Alisa Zamir issued an assignment to design posters
that graphically convey the concept "less is more." EnSun Lee assigned a
series of typography exercises. The professors will present an exhibition
of posters submitted for the competition.

The reception and presentation is free and open to the Pratt Community.
