Announcement: SLAS Writer in Residence Susanna Moore to Read Friday, September 12

The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences fall 2008 writer in
residence, Susanna Moore will read from her body of work on Friday,
September 12 from 12PM to 2 PM in Memorial Hall on the Brooklyn campus.
The reading is free and open to the public.

Susanna Moore is the author of eight books: One Last Look; In the Cut
(which she adapted for the screen); Sleeping Beauties; I Myself Have Seen
It: The Myth of Hawai'i; The Whiteness of Bones; My Old Sweetheart; and
The Big Girls. Moore grew up in Hawaii.

Moor has taught creative writing at both New York University and at a
women's federal prison in Brooklyn. She was a visiting fellow at Yale
University and, in 1999, won the Prize for Literary Achievement awarded
by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
