Announcement: Executive Director of Planning, Design, Construction and Physical Plant

The Institute is pleased to announce the hiring of Edmund J.
Colletti for the position of Executive Director of Planning, Design,
Construction and Physical Plant. Beginning Monday, October 6, 2008. This
new position, reporting directly to the Vice President for Finance and
Administration, will serve a key role in support of the overall mission
of the Institute. The position has primary responsibility for the
supervision, management, and leadership of space management, capital
planning, campus planning, design, construction and physical plant. The
position represents the Institute on planning and facilities issues at
local jurisdictions and organizations.

Mr. Colletti earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic
University, Brooklyn, NY, his B.S. in Engineering Technology from the
State University of New York at Albany, NY and his A.A.S. in Engineering
Technology from Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY.

His experience most recently was at Helen Hayes Hospital where he was the
Senior Vice President of Operations. There he was responsible for the
complete management and direction of all facilities operations, design,
and construction. His duties also included his being designated as
Hospital Safety Officer and Chair of the Safety Committee, including
subcommittees on Fire Prevention, Security and Utilities and Emergency
Management. He was also responsible for the development of the facilities
operating budget and the overseeing and implementation of the deferred
maintenance budget. Prior to Helen Hays Hospital he served in various
capacities at the New York Power Authority.
