Announcement: Keith O'Brien, New Director of Major Gifts

BROOKLYN, N.Y., August 29, 2008 - Keith O'Brien has accepted the
position of Director of Major Gifts at Pratt Institute beginning
September 8, 2008.

Keith comes to Pratt from Long Island College Hospital where he raised an
average of $3 million annually between 2004-2007. Prior to joining LICH
he worked for American Composers Orchestra where he designed and
implemented all fundraising strategies and campaigns, and for Bargemusic,
Ltd. where he managed a non-profit classical musical organization and
organized the production of over 200 concerts annually. He began his
career in development at The Nature Conservancy in Cold Spring Harbor,
NY.

Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Anthropology from
Providence College, Rhode Island and completed additional studies at the
University of Madrid. Keith has served as a panelist of the NYC
Department of Cultural Affairs and is a founder and current Board Member
of the Brooklyn Chamber Music Society.
