Announcement: Student Leadership Awards

Pratt Institute has many extraordinary students. Each year, the
Student Activities Department coordinates an awards program to recognize
and honor those individuals who, through their efforts, visions, and
services, have made significant contributions to the quality of student
life at Pratt.

We ask that you take a moment to nominate any currently enrolled students
who have contributed in any of the 11 categories of awards described
below by completing a nomination form. The form can be downloaded from
the student activities website at http://www.pratt.edu/student_activitie.
Please return it to the Office of Student Activities via email
(stuact@pratt.edu) by 12 noon on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Be sure to
indicate the award for which you are nominating the individual or group
in the subject line of the e-mail. Email submissions must also include
the name and contact information of the nominator. Email to:
stuact@pratt.edu by February 20, 2008.

The award categories are:

Outstanding Service to Pratt
Tribute to a Graduating Student (Commencement Speaker)
Student Leader of the Year
Outstanding Service to the Residential Community
Outstanding Involvement in the Residential Community
Quiet Influence
Outstanding Student Organization Advisor
Outstanding Student Organization Program
Outstanding Cultural Program/Event
Outstanding Collaboration
Outstanding Community Outreach by a Student Group

These awards will be presented at our annual Student Affairs Leadership
AwardsRecognition and Ceremony on April 10th in the evening on the
Brooklyn campus.

A selection committee representing various areas of our campus community
will choose the finalists for each award category.

The recipient of the Outstanding Contributor to Athletics award is chosen
by the Athletic Department and will be given at the April ceremony.

Thank you for your contribution to the process of recognizing and showing
appreciation, encouragement, and support for the students nominated.
